Barkley Court Reporters ripped off attorneys

Barkley Court Reporters wrongly charged at least one attorney more than the statutory rate for court reporting services.

Barkley Court Reporting, Court of Appeal of California for the Second district held that the plain language of the pertinent statutes means that the statutory rates apply to all official court reporters, and even when those reporters are working for private parties, not just the court.
